Really Wisconsin?

So it's snowing today...and is supposed to tomorrow...and Wednesday...and Friday...and Saturday! I've had just about enough, especially because I have to commute to Green Bay every day! People do not know how to drive in the snow!

Speaking of my commute to Green Bay, I run into all walks of life on highway 41. There's that guy who drives 60 mph in the passing lane when they aren't passing anyone and when you tailgate them, they can't take the hint to move over. There's the other guy who goes 90 down the highway and tries cutting in front of you when there is car in front of him so he almost hits you while almost rear ending the car in front of him. And then there's the guy who can't keep a constant speed so you pass him and move over, then he passes you and the cycle continues. I've also almost had a car make a lane change into the side of my car, that was fun! Anyway, you never know what will happen on that highway so be alert and attentive!

This weekend was pretty uneventful...I worked alllll weekend. Thursday night from 4 until about 10, Friday from 10 until 2 then again at 4 until 11, Saturday I worked 10:30 until 3 and again at 4:30 until 11:30. Sundays are supposed to be my days to regain my sanity from the past week but this Sunday was different. I had to do inventory at one of my jobs at 6 A.M. I am NOT a morning person by any means. Then my other job thought it would be a good idea to hold a meeting on that day too! So if my math is correct, I put in about 35 hours since I was here at the station last!

Today concludes my first week at the internship! So far, I really like what I have been doing! I am learning a lot about radio, what goes on in the studio and out of the studio. This is going to be a tiring semester though, but so worth it once I walk across that stage at the commencement ceremony!

This is honestly my first time blogging, so if my posts are boring, I apologize...I will try and get better at making interesting posts by seeing what others are posting.

Have a good day and GO PACK GO!

Getting to know Karli

Hello all!

Today is my first day at my new internship at 95.9 Kiss FM. I am a senior at UW Green Bay and I will be graduating in May. My major is Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and my minor is Spanish. I am really looking forward to graduation and getting my start in the "real world." I want to hopefully go into some kind of event planning in the future.

In addition to going to school full time and interning Monday through Thursday, I work 2 jobs on the weekends. I have worked at Justice in the Fox River Mall for 5 years and I also work at Johnathan's Italian Bistro (best Italian food I have ever tasted). I love both of my jobs a lot.

Some interests of mine include snowboarding, the Green Bay Packers, baking, gymnastics, the Milwaukee Brewers, going to sporting events, hanging out with my friends, working out, and shopping.

I look forward to gaining experience by interning here at Kiss FM and seeing what life has in store for me next!
